Women's Team Opens Season at Sewanee Invitational

     The women's team began the season on the right foot today with a fourth place showing at the Sewanee Invitational.  Mississippi State won the meet with a score of 25 points followed by Georgia State with 68 points, and Emory with 86 points.
     The Lynx were led by sophomore Taylor Stephens with a 5th place finish in a time of 19:00.65.  Junior Anna Johnson crossed the line second for the team in 13th place with a time of 20:01.67.  Senior Cybil Covic finished in 18th place, junior Kelsey Dudziak finished in 21st place, and senior Melissa DeFabrizio placed 31st overall.  All three finished under 21:00 minutes for 5k with times of 20:19.05, 20:26.54, and 20:48.58 respectively.
     On September 19th, the women's team will compete at the Commodore Classic in Nashville, TN hosted by Vanderbilt University.  The 5k race will begin at 10:00 AM at Percy Warner Park.
