Rhodes defeated Sewanee this afternoon by scores of 17-0 and 9-0.  Cindy Bitters tossed a 3-hit shutout in game 1, improving to 6-2 on the season.  Sara Bowen was 4 for 4 with a home run and 5 RBI and Elise Suna was 3 for 3 with 3 RBI to lead the offense.  In game 2, Bowen tossed a perfect game in the circle and went 2 for 2 with another home run to help her own cause.

In game 1, Rhodes blew open a 2-0 game with a 5-run 3rd inning, which included a 2 RBI double from Suna and an RBI double from Kelli Zomer.  Rhodes then added 7 more runs in the 4th, highlighted by a 3-run home run from Bowen and another double from Zomer which scored 2 runs.  Rhodes pounded 18 hits in the game, as every starter in the lineup had at least one hit. 

Cindy Bitters struck out 7 and gave up just 3 hits, tossing her 3rd shutout of the season and improving to 6-2.

In game 2, Bowen continued her hot hitting, going 2 for 2 with a double and a home run, while Karli Alvino went 3 for 3 with a pair of RBI singles.  Bowen dominated in the circle, tossing a perfect game with 5 strikeouts to improve to 7-1 on the season.  For Bowen, it was the first perfect game of her career, and her 3rd no hitter of the season.

On the day, Bowen was 6 for 6 with 3 doubles, 2 home runs amd 7 RBI.   Rhodes is now 19-3, and riding a 16 game win streak.  The Lynx and Tigers will battle again tomorrow, kicking off a doubleheader at 12pm.
