The Rhodes baseball team lost this afternoon to Emory University 12-2.  Emory took advantage of five Rhodes errors on their way to putting up two runs in the first and seven in the second.  Sophomore Taylor Babich took the loss for the Lynx.  Babich is 3-2 on the year as the Lynx fall to 10-3.

Senior Charles Simmons was the lone bright spot on the mound working Emory scoreless for three innings.  Simmons allowed two hits, walked one, and struck out one.  The Lynx offense was led by Senior RF Mason Mosby who was 3-3 at the plate with a triple, double, and a RBI.  Senior SS J.R. Bizzell was 2-3 with a double and a RBI.  Sophomore C Chris Conkell was 2-3 on the day.  Freshman CF Travis Perkins was 1-2 with a run scored, got hit by a pitch and stole 3 bases.

Rhodes will return to action at 1:00 tomorrow afternoon in the final game of the Rhodes College Classic against Millsaps College.
