The Lynx field hockey team pounced on the Bridgewater Eagles late in the first half on the strength of a goal by Sarah Ferguson; a freshman forward out of St. Louis. Rhodes continued to hold off Bridgewater until there were 18 minutes left in the game when Allison Carr scored for the Eagles. The game remained tied necessitating sudden death overtime. Libby Jones goal with 11 minutes left in overtime resounded off the backboard of the goal leaving Rhodes with their 8th win of the season. The game winning goal was Jones' third of the season.  Senior Valerie Clarke got the win in cage with 8 saves on the day.  She was aided by outstanding defensive efforts by Kristen Lee and Rachel Webb.  While the weather was unpredictable at times, the Lynx offensive dominance was evident as they outshot their opponents 16-9 and held a 9-4 advantage on penalty corners. Rhodes plays tomorrow at Washington and Lee at 11am.
