The Lynx began the season a little sluggish finding them selves down a goal early.  Dan Hogan scored an unassisted goal in the 8th minute for Augustana.  The score line would stay 1-0 into half time. 

Rhodes was able to equalize in the 56th minute with a bending shot from Matt Childs (Henderson, KY).  Then in the 85th minute Zac Berry (Dyersburg, TN) was able to score the eventual game winner.  Allen Orgeran (New Orleans, LA) played Berry a ball at the top of the box; with a touch into space he was free to slot the ball into the back post.

In the net for the Lynx, Alex Margolin (Austin, TX/St. Stephens School) made 4 saves to help secure the victory.

Rhodes College (1-0-0) plays their second game of the Rhodes College Classic at 4pm against Fontbonne University (0-1-0).

The first game of the Classic resulted in a 4-1 win for Millsaps College against Fontbonne University.
