Box Score

The Rhodes College Baseball defeated Mississippi College 6-5 this afternoon at Stauffer Field.  The Lynx scored three runs in the bottom of the ninth for the come from behind victory.  Freshman Taylor Babich picked up the victory going the final three innings, striking out four and did not allow a runner to reach base.  Freshman Chris Conkell had the game winning hit to drive in Freshman Brent Lindsey.

The Lynx offense was paced by Senior LF Richard Hurd who was 4-5 on the day with a double, two runs scored and drove in a run.  Senior 1B Daniel Vanaman was 2-4 with a walk and a run scored.  Sophomore 2B Andy Boucher was 2-4 on the day.  Freshman Chris Conkell ended the day going 1-3 with the game winning hit to left center in the bottom of the ninth.

The Lynx will return to action tomorrow afternoon against DII Christian Brothers University at Stauffer Field.  First pitch is set for 3:00.
