The Lynx fell to DePauw 2-1 today at home with just 2:38 to play in the second and final overtime period. Both teams battled scoreless for 62 minutes until Sarah Riffle found the back of the net on a deflection on a penalty corner shot by Meredith Ellis. Maria Cowley. Play went back and forth in the overtime periods with Rhodes dominating much of the first overtime and DePauw pressuring in the second. The game winner was scored by Beth Seegers late in the second overtime. The Tigers held a strong advantage in both penalty corners (28-6) and shots (20-10).
Meghan Cullen played all 98 minutes in goal for Rhodes and recorded 15 saves. The Lynx will take the road next weekend for their final regular season SCAC contest at Hendrix Saturday (11/1, 1 pm) and a match at Lindenwood on Sunday (11/2, 2 pm).
