Rhodes lost 5-1 to #4 SUNY Cortland in the second round of the Black Eyed Susan Tournament at Villa Julie today for a 6th place tournament finish.
Kayla Chambers recorded 4 of the Red Dragons 5 goals on their 24 shots. Rhodes benefitted from great first half play in goal by Meghan Cullen who recorded 17 saves for the Lynx. The second half was much improved for the Lynx who earned several scoring opportunities and recorded 3 penalty corners to the Dragons' 2. Freshman Erin Atmar scored the Lynx only goal on an assist from freshman Libby Feaster with 4 minutes to play.
The Lynx will face St. Vincent at the University of Louisville Saturday at 4 pm. The game will be the first regional matchup for Rhodes in 2007.
