Katie Slimp scored two goals in today's game including the game winner in overtime against Sewanee.  The Lynx jumped out early with 2 goals in the first 10 minutes of play, one by Slimp the other by Maria Cowley on an assist from Charlie Wagner.  Sewanee pressed hard in the second half and pulled the game to a 2-2 tie with 25 minutes to play.  Senior O'Brien Wolff put the Lynx up 3-2 with a penalty corner goal on an assist from Charlie Wagner with just 1:14 to play.  The lead didn't last with Sewanee's Marcy Tickner scoring with no time left on the clock on a final penalty corner play.  On an offensive breakaway in overtime Hillary Relyea made a great pass to Katie Slimp who scored the game winner just 5 minutes into overtime play.  Sewanee out shot Rhodes 27-24 on the game but the Lynx held a 10-9 advantage in penalty corners.  Meghan Cullen had 5 saves in goal for Rhodes and Clarkie Crawford made 12 saves for the Tigers.  The Lynx advance to 7-4 on the year, 2-2 in conference play and will play at Centre tomorrow afternoon at 1 pm EST.
