The Rhodes women's soccer team defeated the Birmingham Southern Panthers by a score of 1-0 in Birmingham on Sunday, October 28, 2007.

Senior midfielder Caroline Voelkel scored the game's lone goal in the 78th minute.  Voelkel found the back of the net when she slotted home a rebound from her own shot that was saved by the BSC goalkeeper.  The goal was Voelkel's team-leading 9th of the season.

Sophomore goalkeeper Becca Clarin and the Lynx defense earned their 9th shutout of the season.

The Lynx will travel to NCAA DII cross-town rival Christian Brothers University on Tuesday, October 30, 2007.  Kickoff is at 7:00pm.
