Stauffer Field

Stauffer Field at Irwin Lainoff Stadium is home to Rhodes baseball and has undergone numerous renovations throughout the years thanks to generous donors.

Most recently, at the end of 2017, the entire infield was renovated with synthetic turf except the mound. Visual progress of the project can be found here.

In 2012, the hitting facility was erected outside the center field fence.

During the 2009-2010 school year, the current locker rooms and offices were added next to the first base dugout which included the following:

  • 44 wood lockers
  • Laundry facility
  • Showers
  • 2 offices on the second floor
  • Lounge area with couches on the second floor

The highlights of the 2008 project included:

  • New Dugouts
  • Bullpens outside the playing field
  • Retaining wall from dugout to dugout
  • Grand stand with press box, including roughly 240 chair back seats
  • New backstop system with 40’ foot high net going from dugout to dugout
  • Warning Track
  • Improved irrigation
  • Turf in front of dugouts with pro rail fence
