Team captain May King led the Lynx for the first time in her career at the Crimson Classic in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. King's 39th place finish in a competitive field helped Rhodes to an 8th place finish out of 14 teams. Rhodes was the only NCAA Division III team at the meet. Samford won the team title at Alabama, behind the school's individual meet winner, Lauren Blankenship, who ran away from all pursuers with a time of 17:05.
King smashed her cross country personal best with her time of 19:36 at Alabama. The senior placed 39th out of 120 runners. Sara LaPlante broke 20 minutes for the first time in her cross country career, running 19:56 to place 47th as the team's second runner. Jennifer Emo battled illness and finished as the team's third runner, placing 52nd in 20:08. Courtney Cockerell and Nici Thomas closed out the Lynx scoring, placing 65th and 66th in 20:29 and 20:36, respectively. Jessye Bobinis and Rachel Simpson broke 21 minutes for the first time this season. Bobinis ran 20:42, a lifetime best, to place 68th, and Simpson ran 20:46 to place 71st.
