CLINTON, MS--The Rhodes men's and women's cross country teams both finished in 2nd place at the NCAA South/Southeast Regional Championship Meet hosted by Mississippi College on Saturday 11/10.

On the women's side, juniors Elizabeth Wester (Tallahassee, FL) and Amy Paine (Moultrie, GA) both qualified for the Division III NCAA Cross Country championship meet next Saturday 11/17 at Augustana College (Rock Island, IL). Wester finished at the regional meet in 3rd place overall with a time of 18:27.20, while Paine came in 6th place with a time of 18:49.43.

Senior John Knight (Murfreesboro, TN) finished in 3rd place overall with a time of 26:07. His performance was good enough to qualify for the Division III Cross Country National Championship Meet, as well.

This is the first time that each runner has qualified for the national championship, and 3 runners are the most that have ever qualified from Rhodes in one year for the National Championship.
