The Lynx men's cross country team finished 2nd out of 19 teams at the NCAA South/Southeast Regional Championships in Conway, Arkansas. Sophomore Nick Lewis led the team for the 4th time this season, as he placed 7th overall out of 132 runners. Centre won the meet with 41 points, 22 points ahead of Rhodes (63). The Lynx easily outdistanced Emory (3rd with 120), Washington and Lee (4th with 129), and Sewanee (5th with 136), as they equaled the program's best-ever team finish at the Regional Championships. Methodist's Husein Nasiro-Sigo won the meet with a time of 24:57.
Sophomore Nick Lewis ended the season with a strong performance at Regionals, a year after missing this meet due to injury. Lewis ran 25:36 and fell 15 seconds shy of a berth in the NCAA National Championships. Senior Colin Strickland placed 12th overall with a time of 25:44. His time and Regional meet placing were both career bests. Senior Heath Henderson and freshman Mark Handelman both cracked the top 15, placing 14th and 15th in 25:51 and 25:59, respectively. Henderson's previous Regional meet placings were 37th and 30th. Handelman was the second freshman finisher in the meet. Both earned personal best times. Senior team captain John Harrison closed out Rhodes' scoring by placing 25th overall in 26:18. Harrison's previous Regional meet placings were 95th and 39th. Lucas Warth and Scott Barrows rounded out the Lynx top 7, placing 46th and 58th overall in 26:54 and 27:15, respectively. Warth displaced scorers on all but 4 teams, while Barrows displaced scorers on all but the top 5 teams.
