Men's JV Finishes 10th at Southeast Classic

The Rhodes men's cross country team sent a partial squad to Nashville to compete in the Southeastern Classic meet, hosted by Belmont University. Senior Bill Harrison was the top Lynx finisher, as the team finished 10th out of 26 competing schools. NAIA powerhouse Malone College defeated Cumberland College by 15 points for the meet title, while Berry College, Rio Grande Community College, and Berea College rounded out the top 5 teams. Rhodes tallied 337 points, putting them just ahead of SCAC foe the University of the South. Pikeville College's Alex Chemwolo took the individual meet title in 25:55 over the muddy and challenging course at Percy Warner Park.


Bath, Maine's Bill Harrison ran a solid race as Rhodes' top finisher in Nashville. The senior's time of 28:50 earned him 65th place overall. Freshman Heath Henderson was not far behind, as he worked his way through the 230-runner field to finish 69th in 29:01. Chattanooga's Ryan Call had a strong race as the Lynx number 3 man, taking 76th in 29:16. Call was followed by two first year runners from Maine: John Harrison was 82nd with a time of 29:24 and Casey Conley took 109th in 30:01, closing out Rhodes' scoring group. Juniors Morgan Tribuno and John Norfleet rounded out the Lynx top 7 by finishing in 118th and 137th places, respectively.
