The SAA released its all-conference teams this week.
The Lynx only senior made the All-SAA first team. Sanders finished in 5th place for conference player of the year, with wins over the player of the year runner up, who Sanders defeated in the first round of the conference tournament 6-2, 6-3. Phelps ended his great career at Rhodes by taking his young team to the finals of the conference tournament this year as the #3 seed.
Two men found themselves on the All-SAA second team. Junior
Colin Perry and freshman
Eliot Blatt were both voted into the conference second team for their exceptional play at #2 and #3 singles.
On the women's side,
Maggie Donoghue, was voted to the all-conference team for her strong play at #1 singles throughout the whole season.
Sophomore
Amelia McIsaac was voted onto the All-SAA second team and freshman
Emily Rizer was voted on the all-conference honorable mention team.
With such a young team on both sides the Lynx tennis program is looking good for the future. They look forward to a nice summer break before resuming in the Fall. Go Lynx!
