NAPERVILLE, IL – On a windy Thursday night at North Central College's Dr. Keeler Invitational, sophomore
Taylor Stephens (Southlake, TX), shattered the school record in the 10,000m run, running a 36:38.54 to place seventh in a very competitive field. Seeded thirteenth entering the meet, she improved greatly upon ranking and bested the record she has owned for the past two years by over twenty seconds. In the process, Stephens also improved upon her national ranking for the NCAA Outdoor Championships. She currently holds the twenty-sixth fastest time in the nation and next week will look to move further up in the standings as she returns to North Central College for the Gregory Track & Field Invitational.
