For the second consecutive season, junior pitcher/designated player Sara Bowen has been named  First Team All-Atlantic Region.   Bowen's performance this season in the circle and at the plate helped lead the Lynx to a 27-15 record, breaking the regular season record for wins and earning the Lynx  their second straight berth in the SCAC Championships.

At the plate, Bowen hit .372, while leading the Lynx with 36 RBI and 10 home runs.  Her 10 home runs broke the school single-seaon record, which was held by graduating senior Rebekah Moore, who set the record in her freshman season of 2007.

In the circle, she posted a 12-7 record with a 2.07 ERA, and led the SCAC with 190 strikeouts in 130 innings pitched, while holding opponents to a .216 batting average.

The home run record was one of 6 Rhodes records Sara either tied or broke this season.  Her 12 wins tied the school single-season record, and her 190 strikeouts was also a single-season Rhodes record.  She tossed 3 shutouts in 2010 to give her 11 for her career, another Rhodes record, and she became Rhodes' all-time strikeout leader with 426 career punchouts.   In addition, she fanned 19 hitters in a 9-inning win over Berry College on March 7, setting both a Rhodes and NCAA record for strikeouts in a 9 inning game.

In addition to her All-Region honor, Bowen was also named First Team All-SCAC for the second consecutive season.
